Knitting is my passion. I first picked up the needles in February 1999. It was difficult to learn because I didn't know anyone who knit. So, I bought books or checked them out from the library, and I worked at it, teaching myself everything I could. Then, I discovered on-line knitting groups. Suddenly, I had experts at my fingertips, and I learned even more and corrected mistakes I had been making. Now I teach classes at the local yarn shop, River Knits, and design an exclusive line of knitting patterns for the shop. It's been quite a trip so far. I can't wait to see where it takes me next!
